ILE DE RE Fine Island

With its fresh, marine notes, CAMUS Ile de Ré Fine Island is a perfect expression of the authentic style and qualities of Ile de Ré Cognacs. The grapes have naturally higher iodine content than those harvested on the mainland. In addition, the island’s mild climate helps to bestow a truly individual character on the eaux-de-vie it produces.

Distilled on the lees to enhance the original flavors of the eaux-de-vie from which it is produced, Ile de Ré Fine Island Cognac is then aged in an extremely damp cellar to add greater roundness, using lightly toasted oak barrels that provide an extremely delicate woody flavor.

Ideal straight, over ice or chilled, served with fish or seafood.

ILE DE RE Cliffside Cellar

Produced in limited quantities, Ile de Ré Cliffside Cellar enjoys a double aging on the island. Its first aging takes place in barrels with light tannins and the second is within the Fort de La Prée, a historic monument constructed in 1626 overlooking the ocean.
Bathed in the spray of the Atlantic Ocean whose waves reach within meters of the cellar, the aging location of Ile de Ré Cliffside Cellar gives the Cognac an exceptionally round and decidedly oceanic character.

Equally enjoyable as an aperitif or post-meal drink, straight or with a few drops of mineral water. To enjoy the full range of aromas that this cognac has to offer, we recommend chilling it and then tasting it continuously as its temperature rises.

ILE DE RE Double Matured

Distilled on the lees to enhance the original flavors of the eaux-de-vie from which it is produced, CAMUS Ile de Ré Double Matured is the result of a unique aging process. It is first matured on Ile de Ré in a damp cellar, after which the eaux-de-vie are transported to Cognac and placed in very old barrels which have been toasted specifically to give the cognac structure and a smoky flavor. The combination of these two aging stages creates a sophisticated, original Cognac.

Ideal straight, over ice, served with fish or spicy dishes.
